A holiday at Saltburn by the sea

We stayed in a cabin in the grounds of Rushpool Hall. We saw lots of the peacocks - often just outside our lodge

Back to family photos

This LO used part of a pizza box as the base. I tried painting it with acrylic paint but that wasn't very successful. Dylusions white spray worked much better. The flowers were cut from scrapbooking paper.

I love this photo, so really wanted to use it on a LO

Yet more LOs!

This was what happened when I asked the 2 year old to pose for a photo!

More doodling, and one of the new Julie Nutting stamped girls to go with my favourite fairy princess

More holiday scrapbooking

Another blog post so quickly!
It's taking some time to photograph all the LOs and photoshop them.

Where there are lines that aren't straight but look as if they should be it's probably a function of my photography

I decided to have a try at Life Book-style LOs. I think it's a good (and easy) way to use several photos on a LO but think I would generally use a Life book LO opposite to a traditional 12x12 LO. I've also realise I wouldn't want to be restricted by just using a printed set of cards, not matter how much I liked them I don't think they would be right for all my photos.

The 12x12 LO was a scraplift from Kathleen Summers published in Scrapbook Magazine 71 and using the free papers that came with the magazine. I loved these papers and thought they were perfect for LOs of a family walk in Peasholm Park in Scarborough

A scrapbooking holiday

I've just got home from a very relaxing week. Eight of us hired a beautiful house just outside York and spent a week together scrapbooking, chatting, laughing, watching Wimbledon.
I think we were all surprised how many layouts we completed. I don't think I'd done any scrapbooking for a year, not since we were last in York.

I don't claim that these are original creations. Most of them are at least in part copied from other layouts, mostly from scrap 365. But we had fun and I have lots of layouts and the pile of unscrapped photos has gone down considerably so I'm happy.

This LO was copied from one done by a friend, I understand originally in a class, but I loved all the little touches, the doodling and the cut out paper
